Plant Dissection- Treena Ivie – BIOL F190: Intro to Alaska Flora

The four plants I chose are rapsberry, fireweed, yarrow and twisted stalk.

I am Sugpiaq originally from Kodiak Island. I am married and we have two girls, living in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley on Dena'ina Athabascan land. I am working on OEC of Ethnobotany with hopes of Associates. I am also working toward Occupational Therapy graduate school and eventually a Matrix Repatterning Therapy certification. My hope is to find a way to integrate the two as I progress as a scientist in both Ethnobotany and the medical field.

Great job on the dissections Treena! I appreciate you taking the time to make some dissections of the ovaries to look for placentation, that is not easy to do. Nice photography and use of botanical terminology. Please update the last link it is the same as the first one, so the raspberry one is missing.
