I am a retired forest ecologist, with a love of fungus among us. I enrolled in ethnobotany less then a month after I retired in January 2022. I have always had a deep connection to nature and was curious about other cultures who share that deep connection. I love being outside in forests, deserts, mountains, prairies, and many other ecosystems. I am a fiber artist and have been dyeing with plants for a long time, and fairly recently (within last 5 years) learned to dye with fungus. I am of Germanic and Scottish ancestry and really enjoy researching my ancestry and genealogy. During the growing season I love spending time in my mini habitats (gardens).
