Great job on the dissections Sarah! As a fellow peony enthusiast, I had to choose that one. Sorry you had to sacrifice one of your blossoms for the assignment. With all the rain in the Interior we have had a hard time keeping the blossoms on our plants. It would just rain every other day and the stems could just not hold the water-laden blossoms up. In some of the peonies the stamens are staminodes, meaning they do not actually produce any pollen, not sure if ‘Dinner Plate’ is one of those. What a beautiful plant you have!
