Greetings! Residing in Halifax, only a twenty minute jaunt from the ocean. I live with two fabulous women and a huge German Sheppard. Currently, I spend all of my waking hours cramming my noggin with splendid academia, as I am an undergraduate student, at Dalhousie. I am persueing a bachelor of Science...double major in Environment and Sustainability/Anthropology, minor in Indigenous Studies, bare with me though, it changes frequently. I have always been keen to spend time in the outdoors, and learning more about the unique environment around us. I spent this past summer living in Carcross, Yukon & was amazed by the edibility of the forest, and the beautiful relationship people have with them. I am motivated by food, as many are, but more specifically motivated by the complexity and interconnected worlds of plants.
For the rest of my life, I hope to work with people and plants, in a respectful manner and am so incredibly excited to have the opportunity to be in this program, to learn more about the history, but also how to foster these relationships!
Nice examples of the terms on your Bingo card.
Like the Monotropa example! I grew up calling this Indian Pipes, but the iNaturalist name seems now to be Ghost Pipes.
