My top favorite plant is selaginella martensii, more commonly known as the Frosty Fern.

yes, I love Selaginella. They are pretty amazing in the desert in AZ and other deserts of the world. Selaginella lepidophylla (syn. Lycopodium lepidophyllum), also known as a resurrection plant, is a species of desert plant in the spikemoss family (Selaginellaceae). It is native to the Chihuahuan Desert of the United States and Mexico. Just amazing how it totally dries up in the drought, and then when there is sufficient precipitation it will turn green, unfurl, and disperse its spored.
