well done. I think the silique is a bean pod of the Fabaceae. It is the product of one carpel dehiscing along the midrib and where the carpel fuses to itself. The seeds are inserted along the carpel margin. In contrast the silique is unique to the Brassicaceae and represents a fusion of two carpels with a central replum, where the seeds are attached.
