These are great specimens, if you can bring them back to Fairbanks, we are happy to accession them in the herbarium. We do not have too many specimens from Prince of Wales Island. Some folks keep a tally of all of their specimens, so they use a number behind their name, such as Bree M. Smith 1, etc. Since you made the label it is not so much a big deal, but often people use this numbering system to associate their plants in the press with their field notebook. You can just quickly jot down a number on the newspaper (BS 1) and enter the details in your field notebook, and the data is kind of connected. When you collect a whole lot of plants at one site, it is easy to keep track of them this way.
