Hello, my name is Gooseberry Peter and I currently live in the Fairbanks area. I have a degree in Conservation Sciences with a minor in Horticulture and a certificate in Ecological Restoration. I enjoy gathering wild plants for subsistence and spiritual sustenance. I am excited to be enrolled in the Ethnobotany program as a post-baccalaureate student and look forward to learning more about Alaskan plants, their many uses and how to sustainably manage their harvest.

The plants were very easy to identify in this based on the description moving through stem, leaves and petal color. I’m used to seeing just binary questions, then moving onto a new system—not the “split” system.
