Plant Bingo

Hello,

I gathered the photos from the UAF botanical garden, plants that I am growing, and from plants near my house. I hope I got everything correct with the definition and picture but please let me know if not.

  1. Thanks Samantha,
well done! Peonies have a cluster of follicles as fruits, the seeds are directly inserted at the margin of the carpel. They are slightly different from the unique siliques of the cabbage family, which has a partition inside the capsule, the replum where the seeds are attached and which remains after the valves fall off. Some members of the Liliaceae have poricidal anther dehiscence, but I think the daylily has longitudinal anther dehiscence, but I have not checked on it.
