My son and I collected these plants while on a nature walk around our neighborhood. When this class began, I thought it would be hard to find enough specimens to cover the modules of this class. To my surprise, there are more than enough plant species in Alaska than I could even realize!
Great job on these pressed plants Liz, they turned out great! Be careful, the genus name is capitalized, but the specific epithet is lower case, so Crepis tinctorum, and you should always use the author for these scientific names, so Crepis tinctorum L. the “L.” stands for Carl Linnaeus who first described this species.
