attached below are the pressed plants that I collected last week in Juneau. I kept them under a bunch of books for a week but the really thick Yarrow didn’t fully flatten… if I did this again I would make a proper wood press!
I also attached the pages from the Hulten key book that I have been using to identify these species. I was lucky enough to find a copy of it in the Juneau public library! It’s a huge book to lug around the forest but its been very helpful.
Great job Emily, thank you for using the pages in Hulten to show where the IDs are coming from. Hesperis matronalis is pretty rare in the herbarium here, we only have 10 specimens. So if you have your collection it would be great to receive that specimen for the herbarium.
