I added text boxes to my pressed plant images due to my hand writing being illegible! I used the Alaska Land Cover and Wetlands resource provided by UAA to find out the exact biome these specimens were growing in, which was highly valuable and I’m glad I found it.
All these plants are growing in a White Spruce or Black Spruce-Deciduous forest around UAA campus.
Well done Kendall! These are nice examples from the UAA campus roadside flora. It is always surprising how many natural areas are found on almost any university campus. Great examples and they turned out nicely! Plant family names are always capitalized, so Fabaceae and the scientific names are generally in italics, or bold. Well done!
