  1. These turned out nice, well done! For the scientific names, the genus name is capitalized, but the species name is lower case. So Equisetum pratense Ehrhardt. You would only put Ehrhardt in parentheses if another author has modified the description of the original description of Ehrhardt. Here is an example of using an author in parentheses: Brassica nigra (L.) W. D. J. Koch. Brassica nigra was first described by Linnaeus in 1753, but later on W.D.J. Koch expanded on the description by Linnaeus in 1833, so L. is put in parenthesis.
